High-Temperature Application Lens
Upgrade your lens to our extreme temperature ROBAX glass lens. ROBAX is an extremely heat-resistant glass-ceramic lens that is recommended for areas that are susceptible to extreme temperature spikes. This modification will not change the temperature rating of the fixture, but will drastically reduce the heat getting into the components compared to standard tempered glass.
ROBAX Glass Features:
- Extremely low thermal expansion
- No breakage due to thermal shock or stress up to 760°C
- Not affected by substantial temperature shifts and differences
- Can be used everywhere that very high thermal strength is required
- Transparent glass-ceramic
- Impact-resistant
How to Choose Your Lens
Choosing a lens with a narrow beam angle versus a wide beam angle is dependant on the application the light is in. For example, for higher ceilings, a narrow beam angle will allow more concentrated light to easily reach the floor from the high ceiling height as opposed to the wide beam angle that provides a wider area of light.
Reflectors
To cut down on glare the SuperLux fixtures are available for order with a 90° Aluminum Reflector. Similar to a narrow beam angle, this accessory will minimize glare and will direct concentrated light.
